Dating an athlete in college
However, be ready…on those rare days when we don’t have practice, we will have more energy than you can handle. Don’t tell us that it makes us any less of an athlete because of it.
Make sure you have something for us to do; we will love you for it. We may not cry as easily as other girls who aren’t used to fighting for things. If we gave it our all and fought the whole game and we still lose, it’s not a surprising thing to see us tear up a little. Just build a bridge over the river we just cried, and get over it.
While most athletes need to be at least semi-good- looking to get girls, the celebrity status of some college athletes negates this general rule.
As celebrity status increases, the importance of your looks decreases.
Sure, just accept that we expect you to plop yourself on the futon or bed and watch TV and Netflix with us.
When we say we are tired, we really just mean that we are exhausted.
Even though we may be complaining about them, that in no way, shape, or form gives you permission to do so.
I remember thinking about college when I was a senior in high school.
We wouldn’t be going on dates to get cheap slices of pizza, we wouldn’t be trying to sneak in sexy times without parents knowing, and we definitely wouldn’t be dating a dude who thought it was funny to fart while cuddling.
The truth is, dating in college isn’t nearly as great as you think it will be.
